Refurbishment & Upgrade of Block (K)

Upgrade of the external envelope including roof and façade together with full internal refurbishment, new M+E installations and associated site works. The building which was previously a hospital building is now completely redesigned to have a new entrance, three new art studios and other support offices and accommodation. The new entrance will provide a link with the other adjoining building Block L on the campus, so the design takes account of overall campus master planning. The new accommodation has a new roof design including additional high level lighting, cross ventilation, heat recovery ventilation, windows reconfigured to provide additional wall display areas, so a new and enhanced creative teaching and education spaces for art and design were created.
