Quay Lane, Galway City

Construction of c. 290m2 of Retail Floor Area over two floors from the refurbishment of 25 Quay Street and 2-5 Quay Lane in Galway City Centre. The building was a protected medieval/19th Century structure that had been derelict for 10 years and the works focused on preserving the protected status of the building. Repair works to the exterior fabric included re-pointing and reconsolidating walls with lime mortar as well and the installation of new windows and windows surrounds to two differing eras. Internal works include the demolition of various structures within, the construction of new modern extension to rear of the building as well as the re-pointing and reconsolidating of stone wall internally.
